PAC constable abducted

A PAC constable, posted on security duty at the disputed site in Ayodhya, had been kidnapped and his abductors had demanded a ransom of Rs one lakh, police said today.
Constable Suresh Kumar, who on leave since December 25, was abducted at Pratapgarh, his home town, they said.
Constable's daughter informed the Faizabad Police that her father had been kidnapped and the abdutors had demanded a ransom of Rs one lakh.
The abductors had called her from her father's mobile phone, she told the Faizabad Police.
An FIR had been registered in this connection, police said.
