Paddy procurement: Haryana asks bureaucrats to inspect mandis

Haryana government has alloted 13 districts to the Administrative Secretaries of different departments for inspection of mandis where paddy arrives and procured.
The procurement of paddy during kharif season 2016-17 has begun in the state.
A proposal to this effect has been approved by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here, an official spokesperson said here.
He said mandis have already been allotted among the procurement agencies for the kharif procurement season.
While Principal Secretary, Tourism, Abhilaksh Likhi has been allocated district Ambala, Principal Secretary, Employment and Mines and Geology, A K Singh would inspect mandis in district Karnal.
Similarly, Principal Secretary, Environment, Shrikant Walgad has been allocated district Kaithal, Principal Secretary, Technical Education, Anil Malik will inspect mandis in district Kurukshetra, Principal Secretary, Science and Technology, Ashok Khemka would inspect mandis in district Jind.
He said Principal Secretary Power, Anurag Rastogi has been allocated district Fatehabad, Principal Secretary, Housing and Cultural Affairs, Sumita Misra would inspect mandis in district Yamunanagar.
Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Mahavir Singh has been allocated district Sirsa, Principal Secretary, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Anil Kumar would inspect mandis in district Sonepat and Principal Secretary Fisheries S N Roy in district Palwal.
Besides, Principal Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment, Amit Jha has been alloted Panchkula, Additional Chief Secretary, Forests and Wild Life R R Jowel (Hisar) and Additional Chief Secretary Cooperation, Alok Nigam would inspect procurement in mandis of Rohtak.
