The AIFF outfit finished second last and escaped relegation as the side was floated with an aim to develop the youth.
"The best thing about the team is that it has young kids who want to win all the time and are not worried about being relegated. It neither demotivates them nor demotivates me. I used to coach the team in Australia under the same format and now the team tops the I-league there.
"So, I don't think it is a matter of concern. The idea is to develop the young guns as better players," the former Newcastle Jets coach said.
"The ultimate point is to play and improve and then finally play for India. There is no denying that we have to develop last year's show and we are confident. My experience has been positive here and I feel more and more games will help the player grow," the Aussie added.
He said he didn't have any problem with a player moving out of the Arrows after emerging in the national scene.
"For me an overall development of a player is important. It is absolutely fine for me if they go ahead and join other clubs and continue playing rather than sitting on the bench," Papas said.
He also emphasised on following the Dutch and Spanish style of football and grow the style in India as a whole.
"But it will take time. You can't just have anything tomorrow. There has to be academies for the same where we can train the youngsters accordingly. Patience is the key when you are looking for youth potential," he said.
