Paint factory gutted in fire; no casualty reported

A paint factory was gutted in a fire which broke out in the early hours today near here, but no casualty was reported.
Properties worth lakhs were destroyed in the blaze at the unit of MND Industries situated in Sanver Road Industrial area, Fire Brigade officer Hemlata Kuriel said.
However, no casualty was reported, he said.
It took nearly eight hours for the fire-fighters to put out the blaze, she said, adding the factory, where a lot of chemicals had been stored, was totally gutted.
The cause of the fire was not yet known, Kuriel added.
