Pakistan army said in a statement that Indian troops violated the Line of Control (LoC) this evening by resorting to unprovoked shelling and firing in Nakial sector.
"Pakistani troops befittingly responded to Indian fire," it said.
The allegations comes just two days after the conclusion of DG-level talks between India and Pakistan in New Delhi.
During the talks over the weekend, the two sides had decided to enhance communication channels by getting in touch over the fastest modes of communication like mobile phone, fax and email and ensure that they alert the other side with a precautionary illumination fire if either side detects something suspicious on the International Border (IB).
The bi-annual border talks had taken place almost after a break of two years as relations between the two neighbours were strained due to a host of issues.
