At least 25 militants were killed today when Pakistani air force jets pounded their hideouts in the restive North Waziristan tribal region where the military has launched a major offensive against the Taliban.
The jets bombed the hideouts of rebels in Datta Khel area near border of Afghanistan.
A security official said that 25 militants were killed and four of their hideouts were also wiped out in the targeted strikes.
The strikes in the North Waziristan came a day after 20 militants were killed in similar attacks.
