At least 28 militants were killed today in air strikes by Pakistani jets in North Waziristan tribal region near the Afghan border, the military said.
The security forces are battling al-Qaeda-linked militants since the start of Operation Zarb-e-Azb in mid-June.
The military said that six hideouts were destroyed in Shawal valley of North Waziristan in the early morning air attacks.
The attacks killed "28 local and foreign terrorists", according to a brief military statement.
The forces have so far killed more than 450 militants and taken control of some key towns and villages where insurgents had their safe havens. At least 26 soldiers have also been killed in the fighting.
The operation has also displaced nearly a million people who are being kept at makeshift camps near the border areas of North Waziristan.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the operation will continue till the end of militancy in the country.
Pakistan has faced more than 10 years of a Taliban-led insurgency in which over 40,000 people have been killed.
