Pak delegation calls on Punjab Speaker

The delegation of former officers of Pakistani Army also explored the implementation of fiscal schemes in the state

A non-official 19-member Pakistani delegation led by Lt Gen Humayun Bangash called on Punjab Assembly Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal here today to understand the procedure of passing the budget adopted by the state.

The delegation of former officers of Pakistani Army also explored the implementation of fiscal schemes in the state and the transfer of budget between state and the Centre, an official spokesman said.

The Speaker apprised the delegation about various kinds of constitutional proceedings and legislation works being done in the assembly.

Lauding the role of the former Pakistani Army officers in strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries, Atwal said non-official organisations can play a major role in maintaining peace and mutual understanding between the nations.
