The Border Security Force today seized an abandoned Pakistani fishing boat from Pabewari Creek in Kutch district on Indo-Pak border during patrolling, said officials.
At least four fishermen juimped off that boat and ran towards the Pakistan side near Sir Creek after spotting BSF patrol boats this afternoon, they added.
Search is on to nab these fishermen, the officials said.
Six Pakistani fishermen were apprehended yesterday by the BSF personnel from the Indian side of the Nal Creek which is part of the Sir Creek on the Indo-Pak border.
While Sir Creek is right on the border, Pabewari Creek is well inside Indian territory and falls between Sir Creek and Koteshwar.
Given the sensitive nature of the area, even Indian fishermen are barred from catching fish in the creek.
Pakistani fishermen, however, often venture into the Indian waters to catch fish and then sail off to their side.
