The eight-member delegation, along with London Games silver medallist Indian grappler Sushil Kumar and bronze medal winner Yogeshwar Dutt, met the senior leader at his Prithviraj Road residence.
Sushil's long time coach and mentor, Satpal Singh and coach Ramphal were also present on the occasion.
Choudhary Hukam Singh Wrestling Championship is organised annually in memory of Satpal's father and Pakistani grapplers are a regular feature of the event.
"When we fight against each other, the public cheers for wrestlers of both the nations. It is good for the sport and for the country. This will help in building the relationship between the two countries. The animosity doesn't last long but the friendship does," Yogeshwar told PTI after the meeting.
