Pak national found selling mobile phones in Gujarat; arrested

A Pakistani national, allegedly involved in illegal trading of cellphones, was today arrested from adjoining Gandhinagar district, police said.
Motiram Khatri was taken into custody from Dahegam village by Local Crime Branch (LCB) sleuths, they said, adding mobile phones worth over Rs 4 lakh were seized from him.
"Motiram Khatri, a resident of Umarkot town in Pakistan's Sindh province, was arrested for illegal trading of mobile phones," Inspector A K Parmar of Local Crime Branch said.
Police seized 301 cellphones of various companies, some of them from China, from him and their combined value is estimated to be Rs 4,13,800, he added.
Khatri's visa was limited to Ahmedabad city, but he had been running a cellphone shop in Dahegam village for more than a year, Parmar said.
A further probe is on.
