Mohammad Rashid, lodged in a jail here, was rushed to the local Rajindra Hospital last night after his condition worsened, prison officials said.
After treatment, Rashid, who was thoroughly examined by the doctors, was sent back to jail, Medical Superintendent Vijay Shardha said.
"We have conducted tests, including ultra sound, on him and all reports are normal," he said, adding the prisoner was suffering from some gastro-intestinal problem.
Earlier, Rashid, who was brought here from Amritasr a few months back for treatment of his renal problem, was admitted to the jail hospital for a couple of days.
