In a resolution adopted by the House, the assembly condemned the protests by Shiva Sena activists at events related to Pakistan, including today's protest at the BCCI headquarters over a meet of Indian and Pakistani cricket board chiefs to revive the India-Pakistan cricketing ties.
The Punjab Assembly adopted the resolution proposed by Pakistan People's Party (PPP) lawmaker Faiza Malik.
The resolution said that the activities of Shiv Sena have put at risk the safety of Muslims and followers of other religions in India.
The resolution demanded that the United Nations ban Shiv Sena and declare it a "terrorist organisation."
Earlier today, more than a hundred Shiv Sena workers broke into the BCCI office in Mumbai, just before its chief Shashank Manohar was to meet with his Pakistani counterpart Shahryar Khan.
