Three to four rounds were fired at border outposts in the Suchetgarh forward belt along the international border in Jammu district around 1330 hours, a BSF spokesman said here.
BSF troops guarding the borderline retaliated. There was, however, no loss of life or injury to anyone in the firing on this side, he said.
This is second ceasefire violation along the Indo-Pak border in the past four days.
On June 13, Pakistan troops violated the ceasefire by targeting Indian posts along the LoC in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir with heavy firing and mortar shelling, drawing retaliation by Indian forces.
