National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has sacked a Director General, GM projects, DGM operations, Intelligence Officer and various managers yesterday after an internal probe showed some of the top ranking officers guilty of corruption and other crimes.
The sacked employees were working in different NADRA offices in Karachi and were allegedly involved in issuance of fake Computerized National Identity Cards besides various other crimes, Geo Tv reported.
Also, four Director Generals were demoted to lower positions for misusing their authority.
The development comes days after the agency denied having registration of a terrorist caught alive in India after attack at military base in Jammu and Kashmir this week.
