Palande had escaped from custody after he was arrested on April 10, but was rearrested on the same day.
He told the court today that police had not handed him his spectacles back, which they had taken after arresting him, and he could not see properly without them.
The magistrate then directed the police to hand over his spectacles.
Yesterday, Palande and his two associates, Dhananjay Shinde and Manoj Gajkosh, were produced before the court, which sent them to judicial custody in Kakkad kidnapping and murder case. Police then arrested Palande afresh in the case related to his escape attempt.
