Linseed oil, in the non-edible section, also showed some strength on increased offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said besides pick-up in demand from retailers, restricted supplies from producing regions mainly pushed up palmolein and mustard oil prices.
In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,250 and Rs 6,300 per quintal, respectively.
Mustard expeller (Dadri) oil also went up by Rs 100 to Rs 8,800 per quintal.
