Palmolein oil rises on scattered demand
Press Trust of India New Delhi In restricted activity, palmolein oil prices edged up by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on mild demand from retailers.
However, other edible and non-edible oils traded in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said some demand from retailers mainly helped palmolein oil prices to trade higher.
In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils were up by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,550 and Rs 5,450 per quintal, respectively.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut seed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 930-1,070.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,650, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,550-1,600, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,150, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,200-1,250, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,250-1,350, sesame mill delivery Rs 7,400, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,600, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,300, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,200, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,550, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,550, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,450 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,350-2,400.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,250, Castor Rs 9,750-9,850, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
