In the non-edible section, castor oil strengthened on increased offtake by consuming industries.
Traders attributed the rise in palm oil prices to pick-up in demand from retailers as well as millers.
In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oil prices were up by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,450 and Rs 5,350 per quintal, respectively.
Among non-edible oils, castor oil went up by Rs 50 to Rs 9,750-9,850 per quintal.
