Supported by increased buying by retailers to meet rising demand, prices of palmolein recovered by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said scattered buying support from retailers led to the rise in palmolein oil prices.
In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,750 and Rs 5,550 per quintal, respectively.
