However, other edible and non-edible oils continued to trade in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said increased buying by vanaspati millers to meet the rising festive season demand mainly led to the rise in palmolein oil prices.
In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,900 and Rs 5,700 per quintal respectively.
