Traders said increased seasonal demand amid a firming global trend where palm oil held near 17-month highs on speculation inventories in Malaysia may decline for a second month as output drops in the largest producer after Indonesia, mainly influenced palmolein oil prices.
Meanwhile, palm oil for May delivery traded at 835 dollar a metric tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.
