In the non-edible section, castor oil also moved up on increased demand from consuming industries.
Marketmen attributed the rise in palmolein and soyabean oil prices to mild demand from retailers.
In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,250 and Rs 6,050, while crude palm oil (ex-kandla) traded higher by the same margin to Rs 5,300 per quintal, respectively.
Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils followed suit and rose by a similar margin to Rs 6,950 and Rs 6,650 per quintal, respectively.
