Castor oil in the non-edible section, also traded higher on increased offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said increased buying by vanaspati millers and retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly led to rise in palmolein and soyabean oil prices.
In the national capital, palmolein (RBD) and palmolein (Kandla) oils were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,900 and Rs 5,950 per quintal, respectively.
Among non-edible oils, castor too finished higher by Rs 100 to Rs 9,100-9,200 per quintal.
