Actress and animal rights activist Pamela Anderson has asked Israel's prime minister to endorse a bill banning the sale of clothes made of animal fur.
Anderson, 46, sent a letter to Benjamin Netanyahu urging him to support the legislation, reported Radar online.
"The way animals suffer and die for fur violates Jewish principles. By passing the bill Israel would set an example of compassion for the rest of the world to follow," Anderson wrote in her letter.
Netanyahu previously had expressed sympathetic views with the animal rights movement.
