Actor Hugh Jackman-starrer "Pan", which was earlier due for July 24 release, will now hit theatres on October 9.
The movie, said to be an origin story of Peter Pan, moves out of 'the cluttered summer season' which is filled with potential blockbusters like "Ant-Man", set for July 17 release, and "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation", which will open on July 31, reported Aceshowbiz.
Directed by Joe Wright, the Peter Pan film also stars Garrett Hedlund, and Rooney Mara.
"We wanted to give Pan the space to extend its theatrical run, so taking it out of the cluttered summer season made the most sense.
"Moving the film to the heart of the fall will allow us more time to screen the picture, enabling us to capitalize on what we anticipate will be strong word of mouth," explained WB domestic distribution head Dan Fellman.
