The polling for the Panaji seat, which fell vacant following resignation of former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, was held on Friday. The counting of votes will begin tomorrow at 8 AM.
"I caught the second innings of the match. I finished meeting with the workers and took out time to see the match," BJP candidate Siddharth Kuncolienkar told PTI.
Kuncolienkar earlier holding meetings with party workers to predict the result, based on the polling pattern.
Congress candidate Furtado also took out time to watch the cricket match.

"I held meetings with workers on Friday. We have reviewed the polling pattern," said Furtado.
"The election campaign was hectic. Tomorrow again I will be having a busy day due to counting. So this (watching cricket match) is the best way to unwind," he said.
Meanwhile, Independent candidate Sameer Kelekar spent time with his family in Margao.
