Panaji to host Italian jazz star Claudio Filippini in concert

Italian jazz star and pianist Claudio Filippini Trio will perform in a concert on western music, scheduled to be held here on March 28.
The event is organised jointly by the State Directorate of Art and Culture, Delhi-based Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Kala Academy.
The concert will be organised at the Institute Menezes Braganza Hall here, stated a press note released here today.
It will feature Filippini on piano, Luca Bulgarelli on double bass and Marcelo Di Leonardo on drums.
"Claudio Filippini hails from Italy's Abruzzi region and has proven himself to be an talented musician, among the greatest in new Italian jazz," the note said.

"As member of Farizio Boss Quartet, recorded with London Symphony orchestra, (which is) a tribute to the music of Nino Rota," the press note said.
