Panasonic eyeing 10% microwaves market by year-end

Japanese Electronic major Panasonic is aiming to capture 10 per cent market of the convection microwaves by the end of this year.
Panasonic Home Appliances today launched a new range of convection microwaves in 23 litres capacity aiming the growing demand.
"Panasonic is targeting 7 per cent market Share in the next 6 months and 10 per cent by Diwali 2014," said Panasonic India Managing Director Manish Sharma.
According to the the company, its microwaves -- NN-DF383BFCE and NN-CT353BFCG -- have sleek design and smaller in size and would have 57 per cent more usable space than the conventional one.
The microwave have double heater with inverter and it can barbeque, bake and tandoor also.
Commenting on it Panasonic India Home Appliances Head, Gaurav Minocha said:" In its efforts to introduce microwave cooking to Indian household, Panasonic has launched microwave ovens especially designed to cook Indian variety of food which require intense procedures like thorough cooking and grilling."
Both the models will be available in market from January onwards.
