Under the 'chair', a distinguished guest will deliver a lecture each year, to be organised at the Institute of Policy Research and International Studies. The decision was taken in a meeting by the Syndicate of the University yesterday, Registrar, Amit Dholakia said in a statement today.

Earlier, in September last year, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced to establish Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya 'Chair' at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication in Bhopal.
Dr K S Agrawal was re-appointed as the President of the University Union for a term of one year, it said.
