Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya 'chair' at Makhanlal University

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced to establish Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya 'Chair' at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication.
"A chair dedicated to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya will be established in the university," Chouhan announced last evening on the eve of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay's birth anniversary while delivering a lecture on "Ekatm Manavdarshan aur Media ki Bhumika."
The Chief Minister also made an announcement for the establishment of a Chair for "Communication with Nature" on the basis on research works of Dr Jagdish Chandra Basu. Research activities related to communication among birds and animals, flora and fauna and human communication would be carried out under the chair.
The function was organised to mark the birth anniversary of Pt Deendayal Upadhyay on September 25.
Making other announcements on the occasion, the chief minister said that since the entrance examination for different courses of the university is organised on all India level, the girls securing the first rank in different groups (courses) would be given a laptop.
Around 40 per cent seats of the different courses of the university are occupied by the girls and the announcement was made for their encouragement.

On the proposals of the university, Chouhan said that it would also organise Convocation by the end of this year.
Besides, an international symposium would also be organised by the university in the beginning of the next year on "Integral Humanism and Role of Media" wherein discussions would be held for spreading the philosophy of Ekatm Manavvad on global level, he said.
The chief minister said that he would come to the university for a detailed discussion with students on the ideology of 'Ekatm Manavvad' again wherein he would underline the different aspects of the philosophy.
The Minister for Public Relations, Culture and Energy, Rajendra Shukla and University Vice Chancellor, Professor BK Kuthiala amaong others were also present on the occasion.
