Panun Kashmir President Aswani Kumar Chrungoo told reporters here that the policy to rehabilitate former militants from Pakistan was "not an ordinary issue" and it would open the floodgates for them to act as Pakistani agents permanently based in J&K.
Kashmir Hindu Cultural Welfare Trust President Ramesh Kumar Mattoo said the rehabilitation policy proposed by J&K Government is going to worsen the situation again and would not be good for the country.
Asked why they were blaming the Congress-led UPA government when BJP-led NDA rule did not do much to address the Kashmiri pandits issue, Chrungoo said though all parties have to come to the rescue of Kashmiri pandits, the community thanks BJP for not diluting their cause.
"Other parties have definitely diluted our cause. However, I am not blaming any party. The truth is that the successive governments in J&K and at the Centre have failed to address our concerns," he said.
