Pandole, Ahaan have it easy

Maharashtra's Jeh Pandole and Ahaan Bhansali were hardly troubled as they advanced to the third and final round of the boys' under-13 qualification round in the Rs 6.5 lakh prize-money NSCI Indian Classic Junior Open Squash Championship here today.
In second round encounters, Jeh did not encounter any serious challenge from statemate Ketan Pawankar and romped to a 11-0 11-0 11-3 victory in just 10 minutes.
Earlier, a charged up Ahaan outplayed Tamil Nadu's Anush Kar and complete a 11-1 11-1 11-1 win in 13 minutes.
Pranav Bhalla of Karnataka edged Maharashtra's Tanish Vaidya 9-11 11-8 5-11 11-6 11-4 in boys' U-11 first round.
Saniya Jain of Karnataka showed lot of grit to snatch a tight win against Aishwaria Payyan of Telangana in the girls' under-13 first round. She won 11-4 11-1 11-13 3-11 11-4.
Tamanna D of Tamil Nadu rallied to down Ishti Mehta of Maharashtra 9-11 11-6 11-5 11-8 in another girls' u-13 match.

In boys' U-13, UP's Abhishek Yadav prevailed over Krishna Mishra of MP 7-11 11-7 11-9 3-11 11-9.
Shlok Makhija of Maharashtra huffed and puffed his way past state rival Arjun Singh 8-11 8-11 14-12 15-13 11-8 to enter the third round of boys' under 17.
In other boys' under 17 second round clashes, Veer Chotrani of Maharashtra too got the better of Sourabh Kumar of UP 12-14 11-7 11-9 12-10 while Maanav Mandhian of Maharashtra squeezed past Aayaan Bery of Delhi 10-12 11-4 11-6 7-11 11-8.
Shaan Dalal of Maharashtra was stretched by Rishabh Chaudhary of Delhi before entering round three with a 12-10 11-9 8-11 11-9 verdict.
