Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) secretary M P Pandove today cautioned senior players of the state team against giving in to various temptations that are prevalent in modern-day cricket.
Addressing the players during the ongoing fitness camp at PCA stadium here, Pandove told the youngsters not only about brushing their techniques but also warned that they must be wary of various inducements, which might come their way while performing on the field.
He emphasised that players should take a lesson from the various events that have unfolded in the recent past.
Pandove also lauded the efforts of the players and the coaches for the good performances that the state teams have put up during the last season.
He also expressed hope that the pre-season fitness camps will go a long way in helping the players to perform better in the upcoming season.
"The PCA management would do all in its command to help the players in furtherance of their career provided they did not shirk hard work and would play their individual role as per the match requirements," said Pandove.
Congratulating Mandeep Singh, Sandeep Sharma, Sarabjit Singh Lada, Jeevanjot Singh and Rahul Sharma for breaking into India A team, and Siddharth Kaul, who is already with the India A side touring South Africa, Pandove said, "I hope many more youngsters from the state make it to the India team.
