State's Higher Education minister Pradeep Panigrahy inaugurated the parks, developed by Berhampur Development Authority (BDA), with an expenditure of Rs 55-lakh at Jagananth Bihar and Vivek Bihar last evening.
The new park at Jagannath Bihar was developed in an area of 11,700 sq-feet in the open space of the BDA. It has facilities for exercise of the visitors as at least five gym equipment have installed.
Besides, equipment for the kids and path-way are also developed for the children and morning and evening walkers, along with benches and illumination with the dazzling lights in the park, said BDA secretary Dipti Mohapatra. Around Rs 35 lakh was spent for the development of this park with boundary wall, she said.
While at least ten different gym instruments are installed in the park at Vivek Bihar, entertainment and play items for the kids and path-way for walkers have been developed. Dazzling lights also are installed in the parks.
Since these parks are meant for multi-purpose use, we hope these will be used by people from all age groups, including kids, youth and adults. The parks would also help the people to do their exercise in the park as several gym instruments installed, said minister.
