Panjab University collaborates with C-DAC to boost research
Press Trust of India Chandigarh In a bid to promote research and development in engineering and its allied fields, University Institute of Engineering and Technology of Panjab University and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Mohali today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
PU Vice-Chancellor Arun Kumar Grover and C-DAC Executive Director J S Bhatia signed the agreement for promotion of research and development (R&D) and creation of human capital in the field of engineering and other related emerging areas.
The MoU will contribute in improving ongoing researches, human resources and will provide a wider exposure to faculty and students of both institutions, a PU spokesman said here.
At present, engineering and technology institute of PU is carrying out research in the areas of Bio-medical Signal and Image Processing, Cloud Computing, Vibrations and Noise, Digital Signal Processing, Neural Networks, Optimization Techniques and other related Bio-Science/Engineering topics.
C-DAC, Mohali is a Scientific Society of the Union Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
