Pankaj Advani,star attraction at 6 Red Snooker nationals in

Multiple world champion Pankaj Advani heads the field in the National 6 Red Snooker Championship, to be held here from December 16 to December 23.
Defending champion Advani leads a field that includes current World No 2 Kamal Chawla, Ishpreet Singh, Faizal Khan, Alok Kumar and Rafath Habib in the mens section, said a TNBSA press release.
In the women's section, defending champion Amee Kamani, Vidya Pillai, Chitra Magimairaj and Arantxa Sanchis are the notable players.
Tamil Nadu would be represented by J Varun kumar, Pranit Ramachandani, S A Saleem and talented youngster S Shrikrishna.
In the women's section, the host contingent would include among others Anupama Ramachandran, Neena Praveen and Soumini Srinivas.

The players will fight it out in a double elimination format in the qualifying rounds to enter the main draw.

Noted referee R B Ganesh will be the chief referee for the championship.
The qualifying rounds commence for men on December 16 and the main event starts on December 20.
The women event starts on December 20.
