Parents of youths, who were arrested for alleged violent clash in the Golden Temple premises, today met Akal Takht head Gurbachan Singh and urged him to do the needful to get them released.
Police had arrested 21 alleged accused youths for "indulging" in a violent clash in the Golden Temple near the Akal Takht (top temporal seat of Sikhs) rostrum on June 6.
Criminal cases were registered under attempt to murder section of IPC against the youths on the complaint of Shiromani Gurudwara Parbhandhak Committee (SGPC).
Parents of 11 youths claimed that police have framed their wards in false cases as on June 6 whereas, they never entered in the Golden Temple and were arrested from the streets of Amritsar city.
Assuring justice to parents, Singh said he will direct the manager Golden Temple to look into the matter and if these youths were found innocent should not be allowed to suffer at the hands of police.
