Paresh Saxena appointed as Bihar ATS IG

Effecting a reshuffle in police department, the state government today appointed senior IPS officer Paresh Saxena as the Inspector General of Police (IG), Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) in Bihar, according to an official notification.
A 1994 batch IPS officer, Saxena was serving as the IG (Special Branch) till his transfer and appointment as the IG (ATS), the notification said.
Amit Kumar Jain, the DIG (East Zone, Bhagalpur) has been transferred to Shahabad Range, Dehri-on-Sone, replacing Ajitabh Kumar who goes to Koshi Range, Saharsa, in the same capacity in place of Sanjay Singh, it said.
An IPS officer of the 1997 batch, Singh will be the DIG of Eastern Zone at Bhagalpur.
Chaurasia Chandrashekhar Azad, serving as the SP (CID-Weaker Sections), has been transferred in the same rank in the CID (EOW), the notification said.
The Superintendent of Police) SP Saharsa Ajit Kumar Satyarthi has been transferred to Purnia in the same capacity, while an IPS officer Vijay Kumar Verma would be Araria district police chief, it said.

Md Akhtar Hussain, presently Araria district SP has been shifted to Arwal in the same capacity, while M Sunil Kumar Nayak has been transferred from Betiah district SP to Saharsa in the same rank.
Sunil Kumar, who has been waiting for posting, has been made the SP (Security in Special Branch).
Anand Kumar Singh, has been removed as Arwal SP and shifted to Madhepura in the same capacity, while Daljit Singh, who was also awaiting posting, has been made the assistant (welfare) to the IG, Patna, the notification said.
Kim, a 2008 batch IPS officer, has been removed as Purnia SP and transferred to Patna as the SP (Weaker Section, CID), while Madhepura SP Saurabh Kumar Sah, has been traferred and made Bettiah SP, it added.
