The Academy would start functioning from the 2013-14 academic year and students would be trained in various sports like basketball, football, volleyball and tennis, so that it can bring about the best of sports infrastructure in all areas, including co-curriculum and sports, Anusha R, CEO, Park Instiutions, told reporters here today.
The Institution has tied up with Aspire Academies, which in association with World Cricket Academy, would provide excellent professional coaching for cricket in the summer camp, Gautam Gadgil, Director, Aspire Academies, said.
To start with, a summer Cricket Coaching camp would be held from May 2 to 22, in which nearly 100 students in each batch in the age group of 8-16 years, are expected to participate, Anusha said.
The camp would have two batches with speciality coach being Sadagopal Ramesh, a former India batsman, she said.
