During the question hour today, Parrikar raised point of order in the house objecting to a question of Congress legislator Pandurang Madkaikar.
Madkaikar had sought information about the vacant posts in various departments which are reserved for the Scheduled Tribe (ST).
The legislator pointed out that the reply tabled was incomplete, and demanded that the ST minister Ramesh Tawadkar should give proper answer in the assembly.
Defending his cabinet colleague, Parrikar raised point of order on the question, which was immediately objected to by Rane.

The chief minister said his point of order was related to the question put forth by Madkaikar, wherein he was seeking information from the ST minister, which he is not related to.
"The legislator has asked the information from the other departments, which ST minister is not supposed to answer," he said.
The Chief Minister went on to comment that the Leader of Opposition should teach his legislators to ask proper questions.
Rane, a former Goa chief minister, shot back saying that he is not a teacher to teach the legislators.
