The stretch of road from Hero Honda Chowk to the Dwarka Expressway, on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway, will have six lanes, Haryana's Public Works, Forest and Civil Aviation Minister Rao Narbir Singh said today.

"The tender will be floated by August and the work will be carried out by the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA). A six-lane flyover will be built at the Shaheed Lt Umang Bhardwaj Chowk," he said.

"The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) was requested to make a six-lane road from Hero Honda Chowk to the Dwarka Expressway, but it refused to work on the proposal. Now, the work has been assigned to the GMDA," Singh said in an official statement issued here.

He said about Rs 80 lakh will be spent on carpeting this road, connecting the Farrukhnagar road to Sector 10.
