The body was burnt from head to waist and so the woman's identity could not be ascertained. It is suspected that she was murdered and an attempt was made to destroy evidence and conceal identity, a police official said.
The incident at Sector 5 came to light at around 9.30 am when a milkman went to the park to graze his buffaloes and spotted the body lying under a tree near the park's boundary wall.
Two hours later, the control room received a call about the body of a man found hanging from a tree in a forested area in Dwarka's Sector 11, the official said.
Prima facie it is a case of suicide. The body had started to decompose, indicating that the death happened a few days ago, police added.
