"A police constable pushed me and a woman constable slapped me. We will raise this issue with the NHRC and Women Rights Commission," party-goers told reporters here.
Complaining about Pune rural police's alleged indecent behaviour, Tehseen Poonawala, a Pune entrepreneur, accused the Pune rural police of moral policing.
However, Pune rural police's Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Lohiya, claimed the action was taken under the supervision of senior police officers. "We never crossed limits. We have taken a video of this action. It shows that police did not behave indecently," he claimed.
The development comes after more than 300 people, including 114 women and four organisers, were arrested after police raided a party at Maya Lounge and Bar where liquor was being served, allegedly without a license in Wagholi near here, on Sunday.
Lohiya said the police had raided the party in the early hours of Sunday after complaints by residents in the vicinity of Maya Lounge and Bar of loud music allegedly being played there and arrested 300 men and women, mostly in their twenties, as well as four organisers, for allegedly holding a party without a valid liquor permit.
Later, the 300 party-goers were let off on bail after their blood samples were collected for testing, police said.
"The event organisers had permission to party till 11 pm but as the party went on late into the night, we raided it. We found at least 300 people dancing to loud music and most of them were under the influence of alcohol," Lohiya had said.
