"It is the prerogative of the BJP Parliamentary Committee and high command to name the chief ministerial candidate for the next Assembly elections," Munda said when asked to comment on party leader and filmstar Shatrughan Sinha's statement that senior party leader Yashwant Sinha had the stature to become the next CM of Jharkhand.
Shatrughan Sinha had yesterday called on the former external affairs minister, who is in judicial custody following his arrest on June 2 in connection with an assault case.
After meeting Sinha in the jail, Munda said BJP's state leadership would meet in Ranchi on June 12 to take a decision on intensifying the Sinha-led agitation across the entire state against power crisis and "corruption" in the electricity department.
