Party seeks retrieval of grabbed panchami lands given to
Press Trust of India Coimbatore About 60 activists of a pro-Tamil outfit were today 'removed' by police when they attempted to lay siege to the district collectorate here demanding steps to retrieve 'panchami' land given to members of the scheduled caste.
The Tamil Puligal Katchi (TPK) activists shouted slogans and alleged that caste Hindus had forcibly taken possession of the lands given to Dalits.
However, police removed all of them from the spot, police said.
