"The initiative would enable passengers plan their travel better with updated information on trains running between major locations such as Allahabad Jn, Naini Jn, Allahabad city, Prayag and Prayag Ghat," said a railway statement.
The initiative has been launched by Centre for Rail Information Systems (CRIS) in collaboration with RailYatri.Com.
Travellers can find their information on the mini site - https://bsmedia.business-standard.comevents.Trainenquiry.Com/kumbh
Railways have already introduced several special trains for the benefit of the public travelling to Allahabad.
According to CRIS, the mini-site would update information every 2-10 minutes and provide information on departures, expected arrival times and delays.
Over the next few days, it will also add information about the suggested stations for special trains to various routes with arrival and departure timings.
Besides, it will indicate expected platform numbers associated with trains travelling on specific route at Allahabad JN and Naini Jn, the statement said.
"A turnout of over 15-20 million devotees is expected during the festival. With time and arrival related information, this site will serve in getting real-time updated information, removing complexities in finding train details", said CEO of RailYatri.Com Manish Rathi.
