The first race of the weekend did not go in Patel's favour. After Qualifying in a credible third place, Aditya got off to a good start but was however hit from behind by another driver. This caused the Chennai-based racer to fall all the way down to 18th position. However, in the laps to come, Aditya fought his way up and finished 6th on track. He was later elevated to 4th place after penalties were awarded to two drivers in front of him.
"It was not the easiest weekend for me. The Korea International Circuit is probably one of the toughest circuits to learn, with almost twenty corners over a lap distance. Unfortunately, due to less practice time, I was definitely on the back foot going into the weekend. But in the end, it's good to come away with a podium finish and many good points," said Patel.
