Several senior IPS officers, who yesterday attended a meeting with the NIA officials including its ADG Sanjeev Kumar Singh, have been avoiding the media thereafter.
Assisted by the respective district police officers, the NIA, meanwhile, continued its search operations looking for new suspects in Hazaribagh and Ramgarh districts.
"Detentions and arrests are part of investigation, which has been taken up by the NIA. Our part is only to assist them," ADGP (Special Branch) Rezi Dungdung said after the meeting yesterday.
A Hazaribagh report quoting Superintendent of Police Manoj Kaushik said, "We have alerted all the police stations to keep close vigil over suspected elements."
He, however, did not confirm any fresh arrests or detentions since yesterday, as reported in a section of media, in connection with the October 27 Patna blasts that left six killed and over 80 injured.
