The Patna High Court today stayed the ongoing recruitment process to fill Grade IV posts in district courts across Bihar.
The division bench of Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice Anil Kumar Upadhyay directed the Patna HC registrar general to inform all the district and sessions judges in all subordinate courts in the state to stop all recruitment process and appointments to Class IV posts in subordinate courts till further orders.
It directed that the entire selection process initiated will remain stayed and selection process concluded will also remain stayed.
No result of the selection will be declared or appointment made to Class IV posts nor will any selection process be initiated in any subordinate courts by any district and sessions judge without the permission of the court, the bench said.
The court also directed the Registrar General of the high court to file counter affidavit on the allegations made in the petition within six weeks.
The bench passed the direction on a PIL filed by Bihar Yuva Adhiwakta Kalyan Samittee, Patna, a lawyers' body, which said that the recruitment for Grade IV posts is being carried out by the district courts in a non-transparent manner by violating the Recruitment Rules 2017 framed by the state government.
